Meet the team

Nicolas Goddard
Founder & Principal Consultant
Nicolas founded NMG Recovery Consulting and leads Sober Travel Companions. He has 14 years of continuous recovery and has spent his career beside people at the hardest points of theirs, including treatment transitions, relapse scares, legal obligations, family conflict and big career moments.
His clients include executives, business owners and public figures who need support that stays private. He plans and leads travel companion engagements and recovery transport, and he works directly with families, attorneys, treatment programs and referral partners to make every handoff go smoothly.

Who we are
Sober Travel Companions is the travel service of NMG Recovery Consulting LLC, a sober companion and recovery support service founded by Nicolas Goddard. We're headquartered in Los Angeles with companions based in New York City and Fort Lauderdale, so we can reach clients anywhere in the United States quickly. Companions also travel internationally.
NMG also offers recovery coaching, crisis case management, sober living referrals and court support. If a client needs more than travel support, we connect them with that team directly at nmgrecovery.com.
What we believe
Recovery doesn't pause for a business trip, a wedding or a move. People shouldn't have to choose between showing up for their life and protecting their sobriety. With the right person beside them, most people can do both.
How we work
Discretion comes first. We share information only with the people the client has agreed to, we plan every trip before it starts, and every engagement runs under a written agreement. We are a support service, not a treatment program, and we don't provide medical care.
